Why subscribe?

Basically I am the literary embodiment of Just Keep Going. I didn’t do an English degree, or come from a literary family. I wrote three books before I got one published, and another eight before I had a bestseller. But since 2012 I have sold something in the region of 60 million books, and have also written screenplays for movies and television. What I talk about on my substack is what I have learned along the way, none of which has come from formal teaching, and almost everything from trial and error. Someone described it on here as like talking to a mate in the pub about writing and that’s a vibe I’m happy to go with. Most of the how-to writing stuff will be behind the paywall, but there will also be a lot of free stuff too. I hope it will be useful, and it should definitely be fun.
