This was such a fun and wild read! Congrats on Me before you! And whatever’s next!

It's often so hard to appreciate a good movie if you have fallen head over heels in love with the book beforehand. Especially if you finished said book on a BA flight to Copenhagen and your copious tears and sobbing scared the bejesus out of the cabin crew! But Me Before You was so special - the movie retained the emotional feel of the book so well. You did a great job Jojo. I know what I'll be watching again tonight.

So much fun to read about all of this! I would’ve giggled like a school girl if I had ever gotten to meet Emilia Clark ❣️ I have loved your books. All of them. Each one has brought me laughter and tears.

The Giver of Stars could possibly be my favorite… but it’s a lot like picking a favorite child (if you know what I mean). It’s impossible.

Thanks, Jojo, for giving us hope. Like many, I'm at the darkened room stage (actually heading to Lombok with my long-suffering family, but still...) and you make it sound like film options and similar otherworldly treasures are actually possible for us mere mortals. And: having the people who've populated your imagination for years suddenly pop out into the real world... that sounds like the biggest kick of your life. It would be mine!

This brought me so much joy and inspiration! I worked behind the scenes as a makeup artist for 30 years and now I only wish to return to a film set as ‘author of novel adapted for screenplay’. Thanks for sharing x

This is so honest and hilarious. 😆 How cool that you've worked with directors who became friends and you felt good about the film. (I know it's not like that for everyone.) And thanks for sharing the sage advice you got before that made all the difference for you.

Loved both the book & the film Me Before You. I read the book first and I usually don't want to watch the film because when I love a book - but you did a great job with it!

I just finished reading Paris for One 🗼

This has been so useful and a great read, thank you! Me Before You, the book and the film are wonderful. Currently I'm going through Phase 1... I hope he doesn't turn out to be a Zac but I will keep my head held high :)

As a former producer of a few films/docs- I found myself nodding and laughing and becoming nostalgic for a movie set. It’s been too many years! Thank you for the trip down memory lane, Jojo! And for the tips from a writers perspective 😍 I can’t wait to be optioned one day 😍

What a palaver!! But so exciting! Congratulations; I don’t yet have a Zac, but I have a Mike developing the screenplay of my book, hey who knows. The chair with my name on it is a life goal. Even if I have to print my own eventually!!
