I'm a historian, and from my deep dives into women's history, I know that we should almost always be suspicious of the white male narrative of historical figures, because OFTEN there was a woman who was the talent behind the so-called "great man", but her involvement was always covered up. Thank you, Jojo for the fascinating interview.

I was helping my son study Othello for school exams recently. The revision notes referred to how Shakespeare painted women in a far more positive light than was the cultural norm of the time. When I saw the synopsis for Jodi’s new book everything made more sense! I’m looking forward to attending her book tour here in Australia

Oh wow! How amazing about the minatures! That, to me, is Emilia's thank you to Jodi for telling her story. It gave me goosebumps. There are so many unexplainable points about Shakespeare and his writing that make complete sense now having just read this interview, so can't wait to read the book.

Fascinating. I have heard of other female authors who believe a woman was behind at least some of Shakespeare’s works - but I’ve not read the evidence before. It’s very compelling and now I wonder if Shakespeare was simply a clever (if cruel) businessman taking advantage of the times he lived in. No poet and playwright wouldn’t teach their children to read even if they were girls. Thank you for this JoJo and Jodi.

My two favourite authors together 🥰

I learn so much about life and learn to tolerate people so much better after reading both Jodi’s and Jojo’s novels.

Thank you both for producing such brilliant works and giving us emerging writers something to aim for 🎯

This is SUCH an interesting piece and I can't wait to read the book when it comes out and discover more about whether everything I was taught about Shakespeare was true, or not.

I'd be keen to hear more about the "this can't be a coincidence any more." There's a lot to take away here it is is a very in depth interview. The post Secret is chilling! But my main question... are you saying what I think you're saying about Shakespeare?
